  Dodger was one of those short-lived wonders of the soda pop world. For a brief period during the 1960s, people just could not get enough of Dodger, and then, just as quickly as it had appeared, it slipped into relative obscurity.

One story is it started in Brooklyn but disappeared when its baseball namesake took flight to the left coast. Another is it was produced in Tipton, Iowa. Yet another claims its first use was in Ohio and then another is Omaha, Neb.
