Chicago Porcelain Art Co. |
This is an all original,
early ceramic soda fountain dispenser advertising "Drink Green River".
This fountain has an impressed mark on the backside that says "Chicago
Porcelain Art Co."
It has a forest green, bakelite push and turn clamp style original pump that is not dried out or damaged and very "art deco" in style. On both sides of the ceramic yellow ball is written "Drink Green River" in forest green and this fountain is in good shape with the exception of some customary glaze crazing and minor manufacturing lines on the body of the bottom portion, but it is in great shape. The lid is slightly
lighter, but guaranteed original. A tight hairline runs from the edge of
the top to the ball on the lid. The base and yellow ball soda holder is
all one piece but the lid with large knob is separate. The ball shaped
center would hold several gallons and the height is 16" with a 7 1/2"
width. |
